This project was commissioned to create an industrial image library for Safran’s Fareham site, documenting the people, processes and working environments behind the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of aerospace engine systems.
The brief focused on building a practical collection of images across the different functions of the site. Safran needed staff at work, engineering processes, workshop activity and operational detail photographed with clarity and consistency, creating a library that could support wider brand, recruitment, communications and stakeholder use.
The work needed to show industrial capability without reducing the site to machinery alone. The focus was on skilled people, technical environments, specialist equipment and the controlled rhythm of aerospace engineering.

Approach & Consistency
The approach was built around showing the site as a working industrial environment rather than staging it as a static facility. Each area needed to feel active, credible and specific, while still belonging to one coherent visual system.
Working in an aerospace engineering environment requires attention to access, safety, workflow and the pace of the site. The photography had to respond to real activity while maintaining visual control across lighting, framing, subject treatment and output.
The image library was developed around people, process and place: staff carrying out skilled work, the tools and systems around them, and the wider environment that gives the work its scale and context.
Outcomes & Use
The final image library gave Safran a clear and consistent set of industrial photographs showing the working reality of the Fareham site.
The collection was designed to support multiple uses rather than one single campaign image: website content, recruitment, internal communications, stakeholder material, press, presentations and wider brand communications.
The result was a practical industrial image library with enough range to show different functions across the site, and enough consistency to hold together as one visual representation of Safran’s people, process and engineering capability.
